Selection of your portrait location will depend on your family and where you feel you will be happiest and most relaxed. I love to photograph a family at home, in the garden, or at a place that has meaning for them. For very small children and babies, a home setting is usually best. If your children are preschool age or older, a park or other favorite outdoor spot works well. You are welcome to include your family pet!
