At the age of 14, I convinced my parents to convert a little-used closet in their basement into a darkroom. There began a lifelong love of photography--a pursuit that would, unbeknownst to anyone, shape my future.
The Bay Area has been my home for over 20 years. My career path has continuously involved making connections with children-–first through developing children’s software, then by founding a children’s art studio, and now by photographing children and their families. My husband, Sam, and I live in Marin with our two children, and as I began to discover the joy of capturing their childhood through my photographs, I realized I wanted to do the same for others.
It's a privilege for me to preserve those precious moments and expressions that reflect your family, and it is my goal to make your experience personal and enjoyable. I strive to capture the true spirit of your child and I take the time necessary to put everyone at ease. I will photograph you where you are most comfortable…whether that is in your own home or garden, in my home studio, or at one of the many stunning outdoor locations that surround us.
By using natural light and following your child's cues, I am able to create portraits that are candid yet classic. With high-quality digital equipment, I can offer you both black & white and color photographs. I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America and donate regularly to community schools and charities.
